Ola,
你好
maybe you have noticed: Since the beginning of 2009 I practically moved to China - what doesn’t mean that I will not return to Brazil someday. In fact, I am trying to spend at least between two or three years there. My last years big book assignment in Brazil about Juruena Naional Park is available from 15th of September on at Pro Futura Editions.
After the good start in 2008 things are getting even better in 2009. There is a lot to do in China – commercial and artistic work – what made me to fix my “headquarter” in Beijing.
I am representing there prestigious German reportage agency ZEITENSPIEGEL. www.zeitenpiegel.de. As a result I started to write again ! During the last years – or decades! – I focused on photography and documentary film making. Anyway, my Brazil and South America stock material you still find on www.bilderberg.de.
My recent photographic work is shown in several exhibitions in 2009 and 2010.
The assignments were in the first place focused on tourism relevant locations, see some samples here. For dates and location of the exhibition go to “Beijing This Month”-magazine website www.btmbeijing.com
From September 19th on you can see my new show “Distant Neighbors” The festival is in it’s 9h edition, and is considered one of China’s most important photographic events: www.pipphoto.com. Portrait matches of “distant neighbors” click www.pipphoto.com/show.aspx?id=545. I hope that this exhibition – which in fact, is a “work in progress” with only 20 pictures – is a chance to start my “Light and Image” project, an exchange program between Brazilian and Chinese photographers.
My award winning show “Rio by Night” with pictures from Rio de Janeiro’s underground nightlife is to be shown in Beijing’s 798 art district, in David Key.s Yuan Fen New Media gallery : www.yuanfenart.com . probably at the end of October.
See you soon....
再见
